Some interesting recent comics have made their way into trade paperback collections and each is on shelves now and ready for your enjoyment.
Countdown to Final Crisis Vol. 1 (DC). The epic Final Crisis has already begun tearing through the DC Universe, but this series details the events of the tumultuous year that preceded it, including the fall of the New Gods, the corruption of Mary Marvel and some major life changes for Jimmy Olsen.
Eternals (Marvel). Neil Gaiman brings the classic Jack Kirby characters back to the forefront with this mini-series featuring the art of John Romita Jr. The deathless cosmic heroes are out of step with the modern Marvel Universe, unsure of their identities, betrayed by one of their own and have never been more compelling.
Spider-Man: One More Day (Marvel). The most controversial story of the year features Peter Parker making a deal with the devil to save his Aunt May’s life. L
